By accessing or using this platform — whether as a hirer, a freelancer, or a visitor — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms in full, you must not use the platform.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the platform operator. We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the changes are material, notify you by email. Continued use of the platform after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
You may use this platform only if you:
- Are at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, if higher).
- Are capable of forming a binding contract under applicable law.
- Are not barred from using the platform under the laws of your country of residence or any other applicable jurisdiction.
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep that information up to date.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements, at any time and without prior notice.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at the contact address below if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
Each person may hold only one account. Creating duplicate or fraudulent accounts is grounds for immediate termination of all associated accounts.
Freelancers must connect a valid Stripe payout account to receive payments. Stripe's identity verification requirements form part of the onboarding process, and failure to satisfy those requirements will prevent payouts.
We are a marketplace that connects hirers with freelancers. We are not a party to any contract for services formed between a hirer and a freelancer. We do not employ freelancers, and freelancers are not our agents or sub-contractors.
Our AI matching system surfaces up to five candidate profiles in response to a posted job. This shortlisting is algorithmic and does not constitute an endorsement of any individual freelancer. We make no warranties about the quality, suitability, legality, or accuracy of any freelancer's work or profile.
✦The platform facilitates the connection and the payment. The contract for the actual work is between the hirer and the freelancer. We are not responsible for the outcome of that work.
When you post a job, you agree that:
- The job description is accurate, complete, and not misleading.
- The budget you set reflects the genuine scope of the work.
- You have the authority and budget to engage a freelancer for the described work.
- The work you are requesting is legal in your jurisdiction and the freelancer's jurisdiction.
- You will not post jobs intended to solicit personal information, to deceive freelancers, or for any unlawful purpose.
We reserve the right to remove any job posting that we deem, in our sole discretion, to violate these Terms or our community standards, without prior notice or liability.
As a freelancer, you represent and warrant that:
- All information in your profile — including your bio, skills, tags, portfolio, and experience — is accurate and not misleading.
- You own or have the rights to all portfolio work you display.
- You are legally permitted to provide the services you advertise in your jurisdiction.
- You will keep your availability status current and decline connections promptly when you are unavailable.
Misrepresentation in your profile is grounds for immediate removal and may result in the forfeiture of any pending or escrowed funds following a dispute review.
When a job is posted, our AI agent scores active freelancer listings against the job's category, required tags, budget, and location type. It also weights each freelancer's ratings, number of completed sessions, and portfolio breadth. The top five scoring profiles are placed in the hirer's recommendation queue.
This process is fully automated. We do not manually curate, promote, or demote individual freelancers within the queue. Being surfaced or not surfaced in a given queue does not constitute any editorial statement about a freelancer's quality.
We reserve the right to adjust, retrain, or replace the matching algorithm at any time. Freelancers have no right to appear in any particular queue or to any minimum number of matches.
All project payments are processed through Stripe. When a hirer and freelancer agree on scope and milestones, the hirer funds the relevant milestone into a Stripe-managed escrow account. These funds are held securely and are not accessible to the platform, the hirer, or the freelancer until the release conditions are met.
Release conditions:
- Manual release: the hirer approves the submitted work and releases the funds.
- Auto-release: if the hirer does not respond — neither approving nor requesting revisions — within 7 calendar days of the freelancer submitting work for approval, funds are released to the freelancer automatically.
- Dispute resolution: if a dispute is raised before either of the above conditions is met, funds are held until the dispute is resolved (see Section 10).
✦Hirers are notified in dashboard when a freelancer submits work. The 7-day auto-release countdown begins at the moment of submission. It is the hirer's responsibility to monitor their email and dashboard.
The platform charges a flat 10% service fee on every completed project. This fee is deducted from the freelancer's payout at the time of release. The hirer pays exactly the amount they funded into escrow — the fee does not increase the hirer's cost.
Stripe transfer timelines are outside our control. Typical payout processing times are 2–5 business days from the release date, subject to Stripe's policies and the freelancer's bank.
Because funds are held in escrow until work is approved, chargebacks are not the normal resolution mechanism on this platform. Hirers should not initiate chargebacks through their bank or card provider while an escrow holds funds — doing so may result in account suspension.
Hirers may request a refund of escrowed funds in the following circumstances:
- The freelancer declines the connection before any work has begun.
- The freelancer fails to submit any work and does not communicate for more than 14 calendar days after the agreed start date.
- A dispute is resolved in the hirer's favour (see Section 10).
Outside these circumstances, escrow funds are non-refundable once the hirer has confirmed the scope and funded the milestone. We strongly encourage hirers to agree on a detailed scope before funding.
If a hirer and freelancer cannot reach agreement on whether submitted work meets the agreed scope, either party may open a formal dispute from the job thread within 7 calendar days of the work submission. Raising a dispute pauses any pending auto-release.
Our dispute team will:
- Review the agreed scope, the submitted work, and all communication logged in the job thread.
- Contact both parties if clarification is needed.
- Issue a binding decision on how the escrowed funds are to be released.
- Aim to resolve all disputes within 5 business days of the dispute being opened.
Our decision is final and binding on both parties. Funds will be released in accordance with that decision. We are not liable for any consequential losses arising from the outcome of a dispute.
✦Clear, written scope agreed in the job thread is the single most effective protection for both parties. Vague verbal agreements made outside the platform are difficult to adjudicate.
You must not use the platform to:
- Post false, misleading, or deceptive job listings or freelancer profiles.
- Solicit or accept payment outside the platform's escrow system in order to circumvent fees.
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against any other user.
- Upload, transmit, or link to malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the platform without written permission.
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose, including money laundering or fraud.
- Create fake accounts, purchase ratings, or otherwise manipulate the platform's reputation system.
- Request or perform work that is illegal in the hirer's or freelancer's jurisdiction.
Violation of any of the above may result in immediate account suspension, termination, forfeiture of escrowed funds (subject to dispute review), and reporting to relevant authorities where required by law.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing between the hirer and the freelancer, and upon full payment being released from escrow, the freelancer assigns all intellectual property rights in the completed work to the hirer. Until payment is released, the freelancer retains all IP in any submitted work.
The platform itself — including its design, AI systems, code, copy, and branding — is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our prior written consent.
By uploading portfolio work or other content to the platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display that content within the platform for the purpose of operating the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform, including but not limited to: loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or the cost of substitute services.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees paid by or to you through the platform in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD (or local equivalent).
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any freelancer profile, rating, or portfolio.
AI-generated matches are provided as a convenience tool only. We make no guarantee that any match will result in a successful engagement.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Closing your account does not affect any obligations that arose before the closure — including any active job engagements or escrowed funds.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraud or abuse, or pose a risk to other users or to the platform.
On termination, your right to access the platform ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 8, 10, 12, 13, and 16 — will continue to apply.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
For any questions about these Terms, please contact us at the support address or socials. We aim to respond to all enquiries within 5 business days.
We've tried to write these terms in plain language wherever possible. If something is unclear, contact us — we'd rather explain it than have you operate under a misunderstanding.
